About Us
The Bud Approach
We believe that meaningful relationships are an essential part of how children grow. Ensuring that your child feels safe and supported in all of their surroundings is at the foundation of what we do.
Our team of compassionate and connected Occupational Therapists work closely with each individual child and family to understand their current strengths and growth areas at home, at school and in other settings.
We then tailor a therapeutic plan according to the aspirations of the child and their family, working closely with their community and networks to create a nurturing environment. This helps build their abilities while guiding them towards independence and a greater sense of self.
Who We Are
Bud Therapies was established in 2017 by Directors Carla and Shelley who saw a need for tailored and integrated occupational therapy services for children and families within Adelaide and beyond.
The flexible services we provide support children to strengthen self-care skills such as sleeping, dressing, toileting and mealtimes, as well as their participation in other meaningful occupations such as play and socialising. Our services also build developmental skills such as gross and fine motor skills, executive functioning and emotional regulation, as well as sensory processing and integration.
Our experienced team works with children of all ages, particularly younger children, to identify their strengths as well as their growth areas. Once we have a solid understanding of each child’s needs, we create a therapeutic environment and plan that enables them to thrive.
A core focus of the Bud Therapies approach is to nurture children’s relationships with their family and other key individuals in their world. Children thrive when they feel safe and supported in all of their environments on a day to day basis.
